Weidmüller Australia celebrates its 50-year anniversary with large group of guests in Sydney

Weidmüller has been in Australia since 1972. The company has been a market leader for industrial connectivity on the continent for five decades. Weidmüller Australia celebrated this anniversary in mid-June with a large group of guests at the Taronga Zoo Function Centre in Sydney.

Not only Australian employees were invited to the festivities - customers and business partners were among the guests as well. The well-wishers also included Weidmüller Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Dr. Timo Berger and Sybille Hilker, Executive Vice President Global Marketing & Corporate Communication.

Christoph von Spesshardt, Managing Director of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) (left), was one of the speakers at the event.

Currently, over 60 employees work for Weidmüller in Australia. They not only sell the global corporate portfolio, but also develop and produce products for both the local Australian and global markets. The Australian colleagues have a consistent focus on innovative products and locally produced solutions to grow domestic industries. In addition, they focus on continuously improving engineering and R&D capacities with the aim of researching new technologies and cooperating with leading technology companies in Australia and around the world.

One key mission of Weidmüller Australia is to contribute to the country's digitisation timetable, paving the way for renewable and clean energies. With this in mind, Weidmüller Australia wants to continue investing in people and skills into the future so as to remain at the top in the industrial connectivity area.
