Position Summary: This position supports sales enablement by rapidly developing validated solutions using Weidmueller’s automation, IoT and third-party platforms.
Working in a team environment the Automation Intern will build a portfolio of applications and capabilities to grow multiple vertical application libraries including Rockwell Automation “Add On Instructions” (AOIs).
Candidate will perform quick/rapid application development to enable sales of Weidmueller’s APS platform. This includes Weidmuller IoT Field Agent, PLC/Slice IO, network switches, industrial power supplies, Cellular Gateways, IPCs, power couplers as well as Weidmueller’s suite of PLC programming software: U-remote, U-Logic, U-Studio, easy-connect, Node-Red, JavaScript and Codesys. Developments entail integration with hardware, software and IoT Ecosystem.
The candidate will also participate in live customer interactive demonstrations and validation exercises assisting sales in closing design wins.

Position Summary: Under direct supervision, develops and coordinates the processing of parts and assemblies through the production process. Works closely with the Quality, Engineering and Production Teams to specify, manage, and engineer the most efficient methods of manufacturing and assembly. Implements Kaizen (Lean manufacturing) methodology into processes. Recommends and plans final processes, methods, and sequences of manufacturing operations.
