EcoVadis has awarded the Detmold-based family-owned company Weidmuller a gold medal for its commitment to sustainability. The independent international platform for sustainability ratings analyzes and assesses the performance of companies in the key areas of sustainability and corporate social responsibility. With the Gold award, EcoVadis has recognized Weidmuller’s sustainable development as a company. This honor puts Weidmuller among the top 3% of companies rated by EcoVadis in its industry, manufacturing electronic components and printed circuit boards. Weidmuller also ranks among the top 6% of all companies rated by EcoVadis. Companies are assessed based on the categories of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
