Surge protection for instrumentation and control loops

Weidmuller’s wide product range for the I&C sector offers products in a 2-piece, pluggable design and modular terminals tension clamp or screw connection. These products are suitable for both binary and analog signals. Weidmuller also offers other designs with integrated components such as gas discharge tubes or varistors. The products are tested according the valid product standard IEC/EN 61643-21. This surge protection is suited for confined spaces in industrial and process automation as well as in building automation applications and can be installed by the application standard IEC/EN 61643-22.

VSPC series: pluggable protection for I&C loops

The VARITECTOR SPC features a pluggable arrester which can be easily replaced or tested without any re-wiring. The V-TEST testing device enables an easy observance of maintenance intervals. The simple snap-on VSPC BASE allows for convenient mounting while simultaneously establishing a PE contact via the mounting rail.

Weidmuller’s broad product range for the I&C sector offers modular terminals with screw connection. These products are available in 6.2 mm and 12.4 mm width and are suitable for both binary and analog signals.

  • Convenient connection through a clamping range of 0.5–6 mm² with a Torx®/slotted screw and a tightening torque of max. 0.8 Nm
  • Disconnectors allow easy separation of the signal paths. The 2.3 mm test plug from the meter can be easily inserted into the Torx®/slotted screws
