Simple and safe

Increasingly complex requirements for automation processes and increasing demands in terms of monitoring and recording operational data have led to an ever-increasing number of sensors in the field for process technology. This means that space and time-saving wiring of signals in signal marshaling panels in the process and energy generation industries is becoming increasingly demanding. Our modular terminal blocks for signal marshaling enable extremely compact yet clear panel design. The additional signals for automation can be easily connected and processed.

Klippon® Connect W2C and W2T range signal wiring and signal marshaling

Automation in the process industry requires flexible solutions for complex production processes. Your circuit diagrams are complex as well, and may be changed up to the last minute. With our new range of DCS marshaling terminal blocks you can solve these challenges. Even a "last minute change" is feasible for you without having to change the wiring you have already done.

Thanks to the single and double-level arrangement of the terminal blocks, combined with the four basic available functions (continuity, disconnect, fuse, ground), you achieve maximum flexibility when connecting your devices wired in the field. We also offer an alternative to connecting the shield to PE for your potential-free shielding concepts.

Klippon® Connect PRV terminal blocks for signal wiring and marshaling

An unique design for plenty of space

Space for wiring is scarce and expensive – so as many signals as possible must be transmitted, secured and separated in as small a space as possible. This saves valuable space, installation time and helps create order. These requirements are met by Weidmüller’s new PRV/PPV marshaling terminal blocks.

Klippon® Connect PRV terminal blocks for signal wiring and marshaling
  • Up to 50% more space in the panel thanks to optimized design
  • Error-free assignment of signals, based on a color-coded matrix structure and printed partition plates
  • Consistently low contact resistance thanks to innovative V-shaped current bars
  • Up to 16 levels with 64 PUSH IN connection point

Klippon® Connect WMF terminal blocks for signal marshaling

The efficient and extremely flexible solution for marshaling signals

In process control systems for facilities in the process and power generation sectors, incoming signals from field devices are often connected with terminal blocks in marshaling cabinets. Terminal blocks are used despite the existence of alternative technologies such as Remote I/O and Fieldbus. This is mainly because they offer a sturdy and simple connection system, and because they are clearly arranged. Our WMF (Weidmüller Multi Functional) line of terminal blocks provide a multi-functional solution for marshaling signals.

Klippon® Connect WMF terminal blocks for signal marshaling
  • Quick and convenient fuse changes thanks to fuse holder with pivoting fuse lever
  • More flexibility in potential distribution thanks to three cross-connection channels
  • Up to 50% more space in the panel thanks to optimized design
  • Guarantees vibration-resistant and gas-tight connections

Success story

For more space and safety, and a better overview of your cabinets

The world's leading manufacturer of high-tech polymer materials Covestro AG and SBM Steuerungsbau- und Montage GmbH use PRV signal marshaling terminal blocks from Weidmüller.

Space in the cabinet has been scarce for quite some time, and highly sought after. Increasingly complex requirements for automation processes and growing demands in terms of monitoring and recording operational data have also led to an ever-increasing number of sensors and measurement devices in the field for the process industry – while a clear overview, safety, and easy handling still remain important. To update the substation in its production, Covestro AG worked with partners including cabinet specialist SBM Steuerungsbau- und Montage GmbH. To implement increased customer requirements in some areas, they used components such as terminal blocks for SIGNAL marshaling (PRV) from Weidmüller. This allows them to create an extremely compact, yet easy to understand cabinet design.
